    New Year Resolution

First of all, I'm not crazy. I know this is the middle of the year :)

I just glanced through my new year resolution of 2008 which I wrote in early Jan, purely by chance - I was looking for some other documents. And reading it makes me very happy, I'm moving exactly the same direction as written! And I didn't even realize that! It's amazing how much people can grow within a short period of time, I must think they are pretty challenging things for me back in Jan. Till now, you might be already too curious to know what I achieved and what are the things exactly on my list. so here you go:

    i) be more organized in life, e.g., take care of my room, take care of my stuff (avoid losing stuff), make decisions in a logic process

ii) be more healthy, e.g., healthy diet, more work out

iii) be more life-long end product driven, i.e., prioritization

    iv) learn more knowledge

    v) learn more sports

    vi) make more great friends

Thank you for your patience to explain your resolution for me -----only me! :-)
Now I know what you meant.
And, I happened to remember hearing a similar opinion from a famous ex-CEO (or somebody else) of HP.
He said that if you can not remember always to do the very important thing, you will be forced to do a lot of urgent things.
    I wish you success!

P.S, it's nice we can talk about our lives in English! You write very good English, which I want to learn from you!

    Flora Yuwrote:
Hi Qin - Thanks for raising the question. You might have heard of the famous framework for priorization - a matrix with one axis of level of importance, one axis of level of urgency, and people tend to focus on things only on the urgent half, no matter important or not, while ignoring stuff that is strategically important while not so urgent. So I think that's what I meant.

I'm so curious to know what is "life-long end product driven"? Through the example of prioritization I could still not understand. Please tell me more, you can not leave me dangling!
